Home & Community Services Expansion: New Hampshire First to Receive Grant

New Hampshire is the first state to apply for and receive federal funds under the Affordable Care Act Balancing Incentive Payment Program (BIPP), which will expand home and community-based services in the state.
Maryland is the second state awarded BIPP funding.  A third state, Georgia, has also submitted an application for the Program, which is now under review at CMS.

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has been awarded $106.34 million through September 2015.  The state will receive an enhanced Federal matching rate of 2% for non-institutional long-term services and supports.
