CMS Should Improve Efforts to Monitor Implementation of the Quality Indicator Survey
CMS has been asked to improve their oversight of the QIS Nursing Home Survey and its implementation by the federal Office of Inspector General. In particular, CMS has not been adequately monitoring the extent to which the QIS is meeting the objectives of the new survey process.
