DOH Licensing Fees May Be Reduced

The Department of Health is proposing a reduction in the licensing surcharge on specific health care licenses, including RNs and Social Workers.  Annual fees would be reduced by $4 and $9, respectively.  The reduction is required in order to align fees, collected for support of the HEAL-WA web portal provided by the University of Washington, with actual expenses.  An unexpected increase in the number of licensees paying into the fund is the cause for the change.
