Washington Again Cuts Funding for Medical Supplies & Equipment

The Medicaid program of the Health Care Authority (the Agency) has just announced they will reduce rates for medical equipment and supplies, effective for dates of service on and after April 9, 2012.


The fee schedules with the majority of billing codes being affected by the rate reduction are as follows:

·         Durable Medical Equipment – Medical Supplies and Equipment

·         Durable Medical Equipment – Other DME

·         Durable Medical Equipment – Wheelchairs & Accessories

·         Enteral Nutrition

·         Home Infusion Therapy/Parenteral Nutrition

·         Oxygen

·         Prosthetics and Orthotics
