Swing Bed Payment Rate

The Aging and Disabilities Service Administration (ADSA) has recently increased the fiscal year 2010 Medicaid swing bed payment rate. The revised Swing Bed Rate, effective 7/1/2009 to 6/30/2010, is now $167.23.  Look for a remittance adjustment for swing bed days claimed from July 1, 2009 through the end of June 2010 sometime during the month of July 2010. If you do not see this adjustment and remittance please inquire of the Medicaid rate analyst assigned to your facility. The department will establish and notify providers of the fiscal year 2011, 7/1/2010 to 6/30/2010, swing bed payment rate in the next few weeks.
