AAHSA and AARP Reach Agreement on Section 202 Reform Act

On July 15, 2010, AAHSA and AARP reached an agreement on revisions to language in the Section 202 Reform Act of 2009 (S.118). Several months, ago AARP raised opposition to the bill based on their concerns about resident access to information about community based services, local board responsibilities and project refinancing. Between May and July of 2010, AAHSA and congressional staff worked with to respond to AARP's questions and modify the bill's language, where possible, to ameliorate concerns.
