1.7% market basket update for SNFs

Last Friday, CMS released a notice updating the 2011 payment rates for the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS) RUGs-IV system, effective Oct 1. SNFs will experience a market basket increase of 1.7%. AAHSA’s has updated the RUGs-IV Rate Calculation Tool to reflect these changes.
