RN & LPN continuing education requirements coming soon

As many of you have heard, the Washington State Nursing Commission is adopting a requirement that RNs and LPNs must obtain CEUs, demonstrate working a minimum number of hours in active nursing practice, and engage in self-exploratory, nursing-related professional development in order to remain licensed. It is anticipated new requirements will become effective late in 2010.

You are encouraged to attend any number of public meetings to discuss these rules as they are developed.  Meetings will be held in a variety of locations throughout the state over the next three months.
