CDC's H1N1 flu guidance updated

The “Interim Guidance on Infection Control Measures for 2009 H1N1 Influenza in Healthcare Settings, Including Protection of Healthcare Personnel” related to H1N1 Influenza 2009 Pandemic was updated October 14.

Specific areas addressed include: Definitions of health care personnel; Use of a hierarchy of controls to prevent transmission; A change in recommended time-off from work for affected workers;General supplies shortages; and Managing visitor access.
