From the Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST): The Kind Reminder™ plays a comforting, reassuring message recorded in the familiar voice of a family member or friend. (Example: "Mom, you have had breakfast today, Mary is with you, and I am working in my office.") Worn as a pendant, the device plays a message on demand when an Alzheimer's or dementia patient depresses the one, big, visible button on its face.

The Kind Reminder™ addresses the dual challenges of reducing patient anxiety and avoiding caregiver burnout from answering repetitive questions. It is intended for mild- to moderate- stage Alzheimer's patients. It is not intended for medical or safety reminders.
